Branch signage has a recognizable personality: news on 52% of screens — tied with airports for the highest rate of the 21 industries — alongside weather (85%), media (66%), date and time (65%) and rate-board templates (48%). It's lobby content for people waiting in line with money on their minds.

Two structural quirks. Finance runs the largest networks in the dataset — a mean of 8.4 screens per workspace (median 2.5), branch networks being branch networks. And it has the lowest 90-day device activity of the measured verticals at 68.1%, suggesting a longer tail of installed-but-idle branch screens. On the survey side, 83% of finance operators don't measure ROI survey n=47. Content freshness is solid: median 10.7 days.

Frequently asked questions

What do banks show on digital signage?

News above all — 52% of finance screens show a news feed, tied with airports for the highest of any industry — plus weather (85%), media (66%), date and time (65%) and rate or product templates (48%).

How big is a typical bank's digital signage network?

The largest in the dataset: a mean of 8.4 screens per workspace (median 2.5) — branch networks span locations, so finance deployments run well above the all-industry mean of ~4.

Do banks measure digital signage ROI?

Rarely: 83% of surveyed finance operators don't measure ROI at all (n=47), in line with the industry-wide 76.5%.

Branches turn these patterns — news, rates, queue information — into practice with role-based screen management; the banking digital signage page shows the typical setup.
