Cider Press Café (St. Petersburg, Florida, USA)

We always try to keep a tight bond with our clients to better understand their needs in digital signage and beyond. That’s why we flew all
the way to sunny Florida to meet with Johan Everstijn and Roland Strobel, owners of Cider Press Café.

Vegan or Cider Press — what came first?

People's minds are changing. At first, they were scared of vegan food and now it has become more and more popular. People come because we are vegan food.

What’s your secret of success?

The secret of success is having something that people want.

Your recipe for a great first impression on guests

We like to create a very casual environment so people feel like they're more at home. You know we don't want to be stuffy. This is vegan food. To some people, that's already kind of a stretch to come in you know. That's where we use things like Kitcast to help us create that environment.

How has Kitcast improved your business?

Before, we had a lot of specials and when they came in, they [guests] would have to listen to the server go through like ten different specials or whatever was going on that day. And sometimes as a business, the server's got too busy, the area was too crowded and they just didn't have time to convey the specials to our guests. So we had all these great specials and different items that just weren't being ordered because people didn't even know we had them. So now with Kitcast we’re able to have rotating boards that are showing the specials. I can really be specific as to what I put on those screens during different times and to fit the atmosphere that I want to create.

Why Kitcast?

There were several other products, but none of them had the right combination of features that I needed. And Kitcast did.
