What happened: bad actors are stealing your data online. Who's a better messenger for the importance of cybersecurity than Tommy Wiseau? His 2003 film "The Room" (which Tommy also produced, and directed) is known for its acting so bad it has actually become a meme before the memes ever been around.

You certainly remember the "Oh hi Mark" part where the emotions run afloat:

Recently Tommy and "The Room" have found worldwide fame after James Franco starred in and directed "The Disaster Artist" that even had Best Adapted Screenplay at the 90th Academy Awards.

Nobody forgot about Tommy Wiseau, the man became a fixture of weirder, cult Hollywood. An icon of the American Dream. A disaster artist that actually made it to the mainstream.

Canadian Ryan Reynolds-backed 1Password gave us one of the most creative campaigns of the year with their newly released Tommy Wiseau ad. Entitled "Stopping Bad Actors," it shows a tuxedo-wearing "The Room" star giving a sort of a cybersecurity PSA, eyeglasses and all. It's hilarious, charismatic, and fun.

We see Tommy proclaiming "Cut, cut, cut, cut" from the director's chair, he names himself "an established director," a "business owner," and screams "Oh, it's HOOOOT" after being given a cold cup of coffee. It's fun to watch, Tommy Wiseau ad may actually be an example of really good acting.

What is 1Password: in brief, it's a password manager. While its initial release was in 2006, it has come a long way to become a celebrity darling it is at the moment.

In January 2022 the company raised $620 million in a biggest round in Canadian history. Apart from Ryan Reynolds, the app was backed by Robert Downey Jr., and Justin Timberlake.

A year ago, Reynolds already donned its marketing akumen to 1Password by appearing in their ad:
